ReplyDeleteI am an iconic dancer because, after retiring when I was 18 for 5.5 years, I came back to Irish dance at a new school, with no expectation but to get back in shape. After a couple months back at it, I was hooked. This past fall I qualified for Worlds for the first time and got to travel to Belfast to strut my stuff. Being 25years old and competing at a international level is more challenging then I could've ever expected. Your body doesn't work like it use to, and to top it all off items like new shoes and dresses are extremely hard to afford. I would love the opportunity to win these shoes!
ReplyDeleteI'm not an iconic dancer, but I have 4 dancers in hardshoes, and 2 more starting dance soon. :) Big family, lots of noise, all kinds of happy, Irish dance music and rhythms being played out in my house. Would love these for one of my iconic dancers! :) So, I guess I'm an Iconic dancer momma!

ReplyDeleteMy 8-year old son wants me to enter every chance we get. He is in his 3rd workshop with John this week at his Clarkson School in St Louis, MO. He told me that John's shoes will make his feet dance magically =)
